Site Manager
Position Location: Orlando, FL
Purpose: This position manages all on site activities (field installation, integration and test, and logistics support) for turnkey material handling projects
Organizational Relationships: The Project Engineer reports to the MHI Executive VP
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide on site leadership for all Tompkins’ personnel and subcontractors

Serve as primary client contact for all on site activities and ensure client satisfaction

Coordinate with:
-
mechanical and electrical installation subcontractors and personnel to ensure project technical and schedule objectives are met
-
integration and test personnel to ensure technical and schedule objectives are met
-
logistics support personnel to ensure project requirements are met on schedule
-
client operations and maintenance personnel to ensure all activities are conducted with minimal impact to existing operations
-
Ensure all site safety requirements are met by Tompkins’ personnel and subcontractors
-
Manage activities and conduct inspections to ensure project quality standards are met or exceeded
-
Manage the receipt, inspection, security and deployment of equipment and materials on site
Job Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 years experience in supervising and managing field installations
-
Experience with transitioning complex systems to full operation

BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
-
Detail understanding of skilled trades (i.e. electricians, millwrights, riggers)

AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project knowledge
-
Project management and execution experience including planning, scheduling, resource management, installation, integration and acceptance/sell-off
-
Willingness to travel extensively and spend up to several months deployed to a specific site
